Frequently asked questions
The tokens
What is a ST0x token?
A token for one real, listed share, issued by S01 Issuer GmbH (S01) under an approved prospectus. It’s a standard token you hold in your own wallet, on Base, Ethereum, HyperEVM, Robinhood Chain and BNB Smart Chain. What you hold.
How many shares does one token represent?
One tStock carries a right, against S01, to one share. One wtStock starts at one tStock and grows as dividends are delivered to it, so after a dividend it holds slightly more than one tStock. Each token page shows the current amount.
What is the difference between tStock and wtStock?
tStock is the issued token, one per share. wtStock wraps tStock. Its balances don’t change when a stock splits, and dividends are delivered to it, which makes it simpler for pools and lending markets. More on the two forms.
Holding and trading
Who can hold ST0x tokens?
ST0x tokens are offered to the public in the EEA. They aren’t for US persons or sanctioned persons. Eligibility.
How do I buy or sell?
At the trading venues listed in the ecosystem. This site doesn’t trade or quote prices. Authorised Participants (firms and investors onboarded by S01, with an account at a broker S01 accepts) can also mint and redeem directly; see issuance.
How do dividends work?
For wtStock, S01 delivers dividends to the wrapper, so each wtStock is worth a little more tStock. For tStock, dividends will be paid out for holders to claim; claiming isn’t live yet. How dividends work onchain.
Backing and risk
Where are the shares held?
S01 holds the shares behind the tokens with a broker. How backing works, and every mint and burn, are on the Trust page.
What happens to holders if S01 fails?
Holders have an unsecured claim on S01. In an insolvency they would rank alongside S01’s other unsecured creditors and could get back less than they put in, or nothing. What you hold.
Can I get the underlying share back?
Authorised Participants can exchange tokens for the shares behind them through S01: you onboard with S01 and need an account at a broker S01 accepts. Everyone else buys and sells at trading venues. How it works.
Can my tokens be frozen or moved?
In a few cases. Transfers stop if a token’s issuer certification lapses or its owner freezes it, and an address with the confiscation role can move tokens. Each token page shows its status on every chain. Issuer controls.
Why doesn’t the token price match the share price exactly?
Three reasons. Shares trade only in exchange hours, while tokens trade around the clock, so outside market hours the token moves on its own. wtStock holds a growing amount of tStock as dividends arrive, so its price drifts above the share price. And minting and redeeming take time, so small gaps can open before Authorised Participants close them. How to price ST0x tokens.
How do I know I have the real token?
Check the contract address and chain against the token’s page on this site. A token with the same name or ticker at a different address is not a ST0x token.
